Common signs you need new tires: tread depth at or below 2/32" (penny test: put a penny in the groove with Lincoln's head pointing down, if you can see the top of his head, the tire is done, and if you're close to the line we'll measure it properly with a gauge), visible cracking or bulging on the sidewall, or a persistent slow leak that keeps coming back. Tires over 6 years old should be inspected yearly, and most manufacturers set 10 years as the outer limit regardless of tread, the date is stamped on the sidewall and we'll read it for you while you wait. Vibration at highway speed is usually a balancing problem rather than worn-out tires, which is a quick fix we do here; occasionally it means a belt has shifted inside the tire, which is not, so it is worth having looked at. There are four common causes and they leave different marks. Tire pressure is the most common, under-inflation wears both outer edges, over-inflation wears the center strip.
